GOAN FISH CURRY
INGREDIENTS
- GHEE (60 gm)
- ONION (finely chopped)
- GARLIC
- GINGER (1/2 tsp grated)
- DRIED RED CHILIES- 2
- CORIANDER POWDER (1 tsp)
- TURMERIC POWDER (1 tsp)
- MUSTARD (powdered 1tsp )
- CHILLY POWDER (1 tsp)
- COCONUT MILK (1 1/4 cup)
- LEMON JUICE (2 tsp)
- WHOLE FISH
- MELT GHEE IN A FRYING PAN. SAUTE ONION, GARLIC, GINGER, CHILIES, CORIANDER, TURMERIC, MUSTARD AND CHILI POWDER FOR 3 MINUTES.
- ADD COCONUT MILK AND LEMON JUICE. BRING TO BOIL, REDUCE HEAT TO LOW, SIMMER UNCOVERED UNTIL THICKENED.
- ADD THE FISH, COVER, COOK OVER LOW HEAT FOR 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL FISH IS TENDER; TURN FISH ONCE FISH ONCE, STIR SAUCE OCCASIONALLY.
