For the uninitiated, Indian food may seem foreign, scary, spicy and not for the faint of heart.But the Indian foods break all these barriers and and become a memory for those who have tasted it here at MAMA's KITCHEN I am going to teach you how to cook some gastronomes Indian dishes.

MACHO (FISH) FRY (ODIA STYLE)

INGREDIENTS



  1. ROHU OR CATLA FISH CUT - 4-5 PIECES
  2. GARLIC- 6-8 FLAKES
  3. ONION- 1 (medium size)
  4. TOMATO- 1
  5. TUMERIC POWDER- 1/2tsp
  6. CHILLY POWDER-1tsp
  7. CORIANDER POWDER- 1/2tsp
  8. JEERA POWDER- 1/2tsp
  9. OIL- 1tbsp

METHOD


  1. MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS EXCEPT OIL AND FISH AND MAKE A PASTE OF IT.
  2. SHALLOW FRY THE FISH IN A FLAT PAN TILL IT IS YELLOW IN COLOUR.
  3. NOW IN ANOTHER PAN PUT FISH AND PUT THE PASTE AND WATER(1 cup) SO THAT THE FISH IS JUST SUBMERGED IN IT AND COOK IT TILL THE WATER DRIES.
  4. THEN PUT OIL (1/2 tbsp) AND SHALLOW FRY TILL IT IS CRISP.
